さて、18日の土曜日にTICAのキャットショーにデビューしたトーマス。
とても気の優しい子なのでショーで縮こまってしまうかなと思っていたのですが。
トーマスの初めてのショーは無事に終わりました。
体調はショーの前も後も変わらず、安定した様子を見せてくれています。
トーマスのショーも午後の部しか見れませんでしたが、なかなか堂々としたものだった印象があります。
生後5ヶ月で4.7kgの体重はわが家の歴代の子供達の中では一番重いのですが性格は至って穏やかな子です。
穏やかな分、リングではどんな風にアピールするのか、多少気になってもいたのですがマナーも良く、猫じゃらしにもしっかりと反応していたようです。
ヴィックやジュデイスと違い控えケージでも、しっかりとご飯を食べていたそうです。
コートの毛吹きもよく、模様もくっきりと浮き出ていたトーマス。
彼のショーマナーを見るたびに、われわれがはじめてショーに参加させたアルフォンスを思い出してしまいます。
アルフォンスも、実に穏やかで静かにショーに参加している子でした。
ただ、トーマスの方が少し控えめな気がしますが。
トーマスは、ショーに出ることよりも、伸び伸びと自由に暮らすことを好む子のような気がします。
それほどに、淡々とリングへの参加をこなしていた感じでした。
ただ、哲さんに写真を撮っていただいた時には、元気に遊んでいたそうですが。
彼が望んでいるだろう穏やかな生活を送って欲しい。
そんな思いも、今週末にはかないそうです。
以前にも書いたように、土曜日には今よりも寒い場所にお引越しです。
飛行機に乗って、はじめての地に。
行き先は北海道ですが、すでに雪も降っているとのこと。
初めて経験するクリスマスがホワイトクリスマスになるのかも知れません。
もともと寒い地が原産のメインクーン。
日本とはいえ、寒い地方で先祖の思いを感じることが出来るのかもしれません。
そんな彼のために、キャリーを防寒するためのフリースと防水エプロンを購入。
寒さをしっかりと凌ぎながらの旅立ちです。
われわれに素敵な思い出をいっぱい作ってくれたトーマス。
今度は新しいママと先住のワン姉さんと一緒に長く語り継がれる思い出をいっぱい作ってくれることを心より願っています。
一緒に居られるのも後3日。
素敵な旅立ちを迎えられるように一生懸命育つお手伝いをしてきたつもりです。
後は、新しいママにバトンタッチ。 元気で、皆といっぱい幸せになってね。
彼の猫生が豊かなものであることを確信するとともに心より願ってもいます。
Thomas's show Debut has been finished in a good way.
He was in good condition before and after the show.
I only could watch his afternoon show, but it seemed that he was performing well.
4.7kg at 5 months old is the heaviest kitten record in our cattery.
But he himself is a really moderate type. He is not a high energy kitten, may be.
As having so calm character, I was a bit anxious of him that he may become stiff, but seemed OK with every thing.
Good manner, showing his energy towards the teaser, he showed what he has to the Judges.
Even at the bench, while Vic and Judith was sleeping he was the only one who was eating his meal.
His thick coat was clean and soft enough, pattern of his tabby was shining.
Only the situation he showed his another side was when he was playing with Testu & Hiroko YAMAZAKI for the pro shot session.
He reminded me of Alphonse, our boy, the very first one we show at TICA cat show.
May be Thomas is a bit more silent kitten.
I feel that Thomas prefers quiet and warm situation, living with only few cats.
Where he really would like to be may not under the spot light.
We really would like to provide him what he wants.
And it seems he is to reach and make his wish come true this weekend.
As I wrote before, this coming Saturday he is going to move to the north part of Japan.
Moving to the place he has never been to.
He is moving to Hokkaido, and I heard already snow has fallen.
May be his 1st Christmas will be the "White Christmas".
As Mainecoon Cat 's origin is Maine, USA, he may can feel and see what his ancestors did.
So for him, we bought a blanket and a waterproof apron to rap his carry, and upgraded it to "Winter version".
We have plenty of beautiful memories about him.
Now it is time for him to start a new life with his new mom and his dog sister.
Many happy memories are going to be created by them.
Beautiful and happy things to memorize and to be remembered forever.
Now there is only 3 days left for us.
We did our best for the kittens to be ready to leave our place.
Now time has come.
Life is long.
We wish the best for him and his new family.
