So Long, Goodbye! / さらばラファエル！

わが家の黒いメインクーン、ラファエルが本日午後新しいおうちに引っ越して行きました。
新しい黒いシャツを着て。

Our Black solid MC "Raphael", moved to his forever loving home today.

ちょっと唐突ですが、彼の名前にまつわる思い出話を。
彼と、彼の弟であるガブリエルが生まれるまでは、わが家の猫数は5匹+ラファエル達より一ヶ月ほど早く産まれた子猫達4匹。

最長老格（と言っても若干3歳）のドン・ファン、ドン・ファンの母違いの弟レオン、そしてレオンのお嫁さんであったアンジェリーナとエミリー。
お嫁さん二匹がわが家に来る前に、近所のスーパーの脇で出会った短毛Mixのマイケル。
それから、レオンとアンの間に産まれた4匹の子供たち。
ソリッド（単色）だったのは、レオンだけ。
あとは、クラシックタビー（雲みたいな模様）かキジ柄。

There are plenty of memories about him but would like to write about why we choose his name "Raphael".
Before he and his brother blue solid "Gabriel" were born, we had 4 adult MC and 4 kittens plus HHP Micael.

ラファエル、ガブリエルはわが家で初めて産まれた単色兄弟でした。
Raphael and Gabriel were the very first solids born in our cattery.

メインクーン8匹に短毛のマイケル。
マイケルの存在は、その頃からちょっとした『癒し』でした。
長毛の中のさわやかな風とでもいうのでしょうか・・・
あるいは大型の中の中型・・・？
うまい、言い回しがいまだ見つかりませんがマイケルはとにかく天から授かった『癒し』の存在でした。
先に産まれた4匹をもの凄く可愛がり、“偽母”と言わしめるほどに子育てに没頭したマイケル。そんな彼を見ていて新たに産まれた子猫達の名前をマイケルと強く結びつけたものにしました。
血の繋がりも無ければ、猫種も違う。そんなマイケルに新しい弟達が誕生したこと、繋がりのある名前で新たな輪が出来上がればいいなと考えてのことでした。
マイケルに、ラファエル、そしてガブリエル。ここに三大天使の名を持つグループが誕生しました。

ラファエルは、マイケルが関わった子猫達の中でも特別な存在でした。
天真爛漫で楽しげで。例えるなら太陽のような子で、そんなラファエルにひっそりと寄り沿っていたのがガブリエルでした。
ガブリエルは、生後八カ月の時に新しいご家族の元に引越しました。
わが家に残ったラファエルは、ショーに参加し引退してから四匹の子猫の父親となり、五匹の孫猫のおじいさんになりました。
そして四歳になる直前に現役猫としての生活から卒業しました。

Micael was a kind of a "healer" from the beginning.
Short hair cat in the long hair group? Or a middle sized one in the Giants?
I do not know how to describe, but he was someone special in the group.
Micael really was like a true mother to the first litter kittens.
He did everything he can end devoted most of his time as a nanny.

Of course he and the others are non related, totally different breed, but I wanted all to be on the same page.
So I decided to name the Black and Blue new born ones to name after Micael.
And chose the names "Raphael" and "Gabriel".
There the Ark Angels group was born.

Raphael was the really special one for Micael.
Always happy, happy boy. Like the summer sun and Gabriel was the moon.
Gabriel move to his forever loving home when he was 8 months old.
Raphael was with us and attended the show and became TICA QGC. After he retired from the show he became the father of 4 loving kittens and later became grandpa of 5 beautiful kittens.
And he finally was neutered this February.

彼のこれからをどうしようかと思っていた矢先に素敵な出会いがあり、無事に今日という日を迎えるにいたりました。

天使グループもいよいよ解散の時です。
もう十分にそれぞれの個性でわが家の猫社会に癒しや笑いを提供してくれました。
いつまでも、幼名を引きずる必要はありません。

ラファエルは、新しいお家に着いたら、新しい素敵な名前で新たな生活をスタートします。

新しいママがちゃんと名前の意味とか、なぜこの名前を選んだかなどを話して聞かせてくれるそうです。

ですから、彼の新しい名前のお披露目は次の機会に譲りたいと思います。

彼が聞く前に先に記事にしてしまうのは、ルール違反ですからね。

"What is the best for him?"

Before we started to think about his future, he met a really wonderful family.
A family we can rely on and have no need to worry!

Team “Ark Angels" is now broke up.
Each of them showed their own personality and brought many many happiness.

Raphael is going to have a new name and start his new life.
His new mom is going to explain why she chose his new name to him.
So introducing his new name here maybe not fare. He should be the very first to hear it and would like to introduce later.

4歳近くなったての新たな旅立ち。

もう、すっかり立派な大人猫となったラファエル。
わたしたちは、彼と随分長く一緒に暮らすことができました。
病気をすることもなく、元気に暮らしてくれたラファエル。

現役を引退した日にエドに付けられた頭の傷3つも、しっかり治り、真っ黒なコートもツヤツヤです。
I様ご夫妻、どうかこれから彼をよろしくお願いいたします。

4 years old may be a bit old to move to the new family.　
Raphael is already grown-up.
We shared a wonderful moment with him.
He was really healthy and never created a problem.

The ３ scratches which Edward did is now cured. His black silky coat is in good condition.
I family, please enjoy the days with aka Raphael.
We are sure that he will start talking with his bired voice in a little while.
Yes he is a really happy guy and also makes people happy.

So long, Raphael.
To us you are Raphael forever!
